Course Description:
Basic Microsoft Office Skills 2007 will teach students basic skills needed to operate Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.  Students will learn how to use screen elements, toolbars, help, and auto content wizard for both programs.  Using Word, students will create and format business documents such as letters and reports.  A variety of editing tools such as tabs, paragraph indentations, headers and footers, cut and paste, font styles, points, and colors will also be discussed.  Saving and retrieving documents will be stressed, as well as using the spelling and grammar checks and inserting columns and tables.  While learning  Microsoft PowerPoint, students will create slides and presentations using normal view, outline pane, and sorter view.  The learner will explore formatting and proofing text and print options, inserting and manipulating objects, and creating custom animations, as well as timing and rehearsal for presentations. This course is also available using Microsoft Office 2003.
