Course Description:
SAT Preparation Verbal is a two-unit course  designed to enable students to be successful on the SAT Critical Reading and Writing exams.  The focus of the course is to demonstrate to students various test-taking skills and strategies for the verbal portion of the SAT exam.  Learners will practice answering common question types included on the test.  They will also be taught to utilize critical reading and writing skills, including reading comprehension, sentence completion, sentence and paragraph improvement, and grammatical error identification.  Upon completion of this course, students will also be prepared to write an SAT-style, timed essay supporting a point of view on a given issue.

Course Description:
Students planning on pursuing a college education will most likely have to take the SAT.  This two-unit course will help those students review various concepts covered throughout high school math.  Because the SAT focuses on critical thinking and problem solving, this course will address the math concepts in ways that learners can expect to encounter on exam day.  Additionally, the SAT Math Prep course includes information on test-taking strategies, confidence-boosting tips, and even includes practice tests that simulate test day.  When the course is completed in full, students should be confident that they have prepared to the best of their ability for the math portion of the SAT.
