Course Description: |
The Study of Contemporary Music Trends will introduce and explore the roots of contemporary American music. This course will focus on the social, technological, and artistic trends that helped create and shape music of the 1920s through the 1970s. Learners will explore various genres and periods of music, including the early development of rock and roll in the 1950s, the evolution of popular music, the British Invasion of the 1960s, and the many "mutations" of rock music in the 1970s. |
